You mean to tell me...

Am I and about 40k of my readers and America to understand that Obamacare will pass? You mean to tell me that after all the polls that state that America does not want this bill, Obamacare will pass? You mean to tell me that after all the Townhall meetings that America told their elected officals that they don't want Obamacare will pass? You mean to tell me that day after day and week after week of Tea Parties stating they don't want this bill, Obamacare will pass? You mean to tell me that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is asking all female Democratic Members to attend a hastily called meeting Wednesday morning to agree with Obamacare and that Obamacare will pass? Tou mean to tell me that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi , still shoring up support for Obamacare that America has been vocal about not passing and Obamacare will pass? You mean to tell me that Rep. John Larson, the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said he thinks Democrats already have the votes needed to pass ...

Timmy Must Be Fired, Or Obama Must Be Impeached

The Jenner and Block report on Lehman just keeps on giving. Today I am going to focus on FRBNY's culpability in the apparent Lehman fraud - that is, the role that FRBNY (and thus Tim Geithner) played in keeping an insolvent institution afloat through the use of fraudulent artifices. We must look first to what the PDCF, or "primary dealer credit facility" was created to be. The report does this for us: Under the PDCF, the FRBNY would make collateralized loans to broker ‐ dealers, such as LBI, and in effect, act as a repo counterparty. Unlike a typical counterparty, though, with the creation of the PDCF, the FRBNY was generally understood by market participants to be the “lender of last resort to the broker ‐ dealers.” 5332 Reflecting the fact that broker ‐ dealer liquidity had become increasingly dependent on overnight repos to obtain short ‐ term secured financing, 5333 the PDCF was structured as an overnight facility. Pursuant to the F...

Tweet Tools & Twitter Gets an Oscar for Most Tweeted Brand

Advertising Age teamed up with social-media trend-analytics service What the Trend to create the weekly Top 10 Most Tweeted Brands list. How does it work? From the Notes section at the bottom of the AdAge.com post: We broadly define "brands" to include major marketers (e.g., Apple) and branded products (e.g., iPad), as well as celebrity and entertainment brands (e.g., Lady Gaga , American Idol ). Ad Age works with WTT to consolidate multiple threads of brand chatter (e.g., Apple, iPad, iTampon, Apple Tablet) into one position on the chart when it's clear that related Twitter conversations are basically all about the same topic, even if they use different keywords. This week's top 10: 1: Oscars (including Sandra Bullock , Kathryn Bigelow , The Hurt Locker , Avatar , James Cameron , Academy Awards, Kathy Ireland , Red Carpet, Precious , Crazy Heart , Tyler Perry , Best Picture, Jeff Bridges , District 9 , Molly Ringwald , Zac Efron , SJP, Be...

I believe....

I believe the American people are looking for a government that will bring the honor of being an American back to its citizens. With a firm adherence to its peoples Judeo Christian morals. Where the rest of the world looks to America with homage and reverence as the light.

When are we going to realize that we are all mutts!

An interesting thing happened to me tonight after I put up another picture of myself on Facebook, I started to receive several e-mails. The first e-mail directed towards me was titled hey Vinney is that you? First of all I do not respond to Vinney. I believe that when someone calls me Vinney, that they are implying and ethnic tone. The second e-mail I got, was completely in Spanish. Another e-mail I got, said " I don't like white men, I am not a racist, I just don't like white men". I also got one stating, now that I know are you look I hope that you understand that there are ladies here. Many more e-mails followed, I believe that you get the flavor of the comments. You know, you would think that in these days and times, in fact this would be humorous. Anybody with any knowledge of history knows that everybody is a combination of everyone else. There are no your races on this planet. Yes my parents were from Sicily. Does anyone know the racial makeup of the Sicilian...

The 'Birther' Brouhaha

Speculation about the true citizenship of President Obama has resurfaced in recent days, in part thanks to this viral video . Despite a widely circulated copy of his certificate of live birth , notices in two Honolulu newspapers , and other evidence , some won't let the issue die. Fanning the flame are commentators Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh , who have both suggested the question remains unresolved, and 10 House Republicans, who have co-sponsored a bill that would require presidential candidates to provide a copy of their original birth certificate.

Legacy Fight: Inside Bush and Cheney's Tense Final Days

Legacy Fight: Inside Bush and Cheney's Tense Final Days By MASSIMO CALABRESI AND MICHAEL WEISSKOPF Massimo Calabresi And Michael Weisskopf Thu Jul 23, 11:20 am ET Hours before they were to leave office after eight troubled years, George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney had one final and painful piece of business to conclude. For over a month Cheney had been pleading, cajoling, even pestering Bush to pardon the Vice President's former chief of staff, I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby. Libby had been convicted nearly two years earlier of obstructing an investigation into the leak of a covert CIA officer's identity by senior White House officials. The Libby pardon, aides reported, had become something of a crusade for Cheney, who seemed prepared to push his nine-year-old relationship with Bush to the breaking point - and perhaps past it - over the fate of his former aide. "We don't want to leave anyone on the battlefield," Cheney argued. Bush had already decided the week bef...
