CNN Reporter Quotes Tulsa Shooting Suspect’s ‘F*

Two suspects are in custody over a shooting spree that left three dead and two critically wounded in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday. All 5 victims were black, while the suspects are both identified as white, although the AP reports a family friend described 19 year-old suspect Jacob England as “Cherokee Indian.” In reporting on the arrests this afternoon, CNN reporter Susan Candiotti read, uncensored, a Thursday posting from Jacob England’s Facebook account, which said “Today is two years that my dad has been gone, shot by a fucking nigger.” Candiotti warned viewers beforehand to “Please excuse the language, it’s very sensitive,” then read aloud from that (now-deleted) Facebook account. Here’s the uncensored clip of Candiotti’s report, from CNN: In addition to anchor Fredricka Whitfield‘s apology, TV Newser reports that Candiotti also later apologized, saying “In quoting someone else’s words, I repeated their offensive and inappropriate language. I deeply regret it.” Ironically, th...

Jeb Bush: Crist's Obama Support 'Unforgivable'

By: Jim Meyers In perhaps his harshest criticism yet of Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, Jeb Bush sharply chastised his successor, saying he had committed an “unforgivable” act by supporting President Barack Obama’s massive stimulus package. In an exclusive Newsmax interview, Bush praised Crist as a “talented guy” and “about the nicest guy I’ve ever met in politics.” But he took Crist to task for enthusiastically backing what Bush called “a massive spending bill that is not related to stimulus. It is related to trying to carry out a liberal agenda.” Crist is running for the U.S. Senate, and is squaring off against former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio in the Republican primary. See Jeb Bush's Comments on Charlie Crist in Newsmax.TV's Video Interview below So far Bush has remained neutral in the race, but he told Newsmax he “might” decide to endorse one of the GOP candidates. Already his son Jeb Jr. is backing Rubio and ...

Windows metrics source lies about identity

Computerworld - One of the more interesting people I've talked with in the last two years is a figment of his own imagination. "Craig Barth," the chief technology officer of Florida-based Devil Mountain Software, a company that makes and markets Windows performance metrics software, is, I have discovered, nobody. He doesn't exist. Barth is, in fact, a nom de plume , which is a fancy, French way of saying "alias." The real man behind the curtain is Randall C. Kennedy , a popular, sometimes outrageous blogger for and frequent contributor to Infoworld , a publication that like Computerworld is part of IDG. Kennedy's connection to InfoWorld was severed on Friday . The two, Barth and Kennedy, are one and the same. The problem was that I didn't know that. The problem was that Kennedy didn't tell me he was Barth, that I didn't figure out Barth was he, and that together, they were Devil Mountain. Devil Mountain's data, der...

In Praise of Nonconformity

It is pretty rich when the voice of modern U.S. progressivism senses "foreboding" in the land because a new conservative leader proclaims the need for society to "recover the capacity for nonconformism." Rich, for it was progressivism that metastasized from a newly radicalized late 19th Century Europe to successfully challenge traditional American beliefs and institutions in a way not achieved by any other foreign ideology or movement. Progressivism replaced the traditional Judeo-Christian morality at the center of a diverse American social life with a new vision of scientific progress, cultural relativism and material prosperity that now dominates public morality. It transformed a vigorous local community-oriented society into one driven by abstract rules set by gigantic and remote metro-county, state and national bureaucracies. Its ideal of citizen representation was replaced by rule by government experts. This revolution that to a great degree successfully overro...
