An
enthusiastic West Palm Beach sign spinner was arrested Tuesday
afternoon after a driver complained to deputies that the young man was
dancing in the street and distracting drivers.
But it's not going to change Ryan Brown's employment status with the West Palm flooring company he works for, his boss said.

"He
loves to dance, and some people like it and some don't," said Hector
Peart, who owns Cornerstone Tile and Flooring, Inc. Peart described the
arrest as "not fair."
Brown, 22, was holding a sign advertising a sale at Cornerstone at about 12:35 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard, Wabasso Drive, and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in suburban West Palm, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office arrest report.
The situation began when a driver flagged down a deputy to complain about the road dancing, the report stated.
The deputy wrote in the report that he drove to the intersection and saw Brown holding a sign while stepping off the median and dancing on Okeechobee.
"I explained to him why I had made contact with him and he started yelling at me telling me he is a working man not allowing me to tell him why I had checked out with him," the report stated.
Brown kept cursing and tried to reach into his pocket, but the deputy, citing officer safety, told him not to, and Brown allegedly refused. The deputy grabbed Brown's arm and arrested him.
Brown faces misdemeanor charges of failure to obey police, unlawful use of a state right of way, and resisting arrest without violence, according to court records.
He was booked in at the Palm Beach County Jail just after 1 p.m. Tuesday and released four hours later.
"He will be back to hold the sign," Peart said. "He will just have to do it a little differently."
