By JENNIFER LEBOVICH AND TRENTON DANIEL jlebovich@MiamiHerald.com It was 1988 and Lester Lloyd Coke's Shower Posse -- a notorious Jamaican drug gang -- was deep into gun and drug running. He was wanted in a South Florida courtroom to answer to murder and drug charges, but never made it to Miami to stand trial. Now, two decades later, another Coke is accused of running the Shower Posse. It's Lester's son, Christopher ``Dudus'' Coke, the man wanted for extradition by the U.S. on drug and weapons charges and the object of a manhunt that has touched off a bloody battle between Jamaican authorities and his supporters in Kingston. The question of race is nothing more than a political tool to keep us down. The Americas were all inhabted by the same peoples of the world.  The old world meets the new world. When my ancestors left the old world, half of them came to the U.S. and half went to Argentina.  If I was born in Argentina would I then be Hispanic?  See how stupid this argument is. Fox News host and conservative talker Glenn Beck is firing back after New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner issued a report critical of Goldline International , a gold retailer and one sponsor of Beck's cable show. Goldline is among several gold concerns that advertise with Beck while Beck offers testimonials about gold — an arrangement that's sparked some conflict-of-interest complaints about the pundit. News : "DES MOINES, Iowa – Nine people were indicted Wednesday on federal charges of accessing President Barack Obama's student loan records while they were employed for a Department of Education contractor in Iowa. The U.S. attorney's office said a grand jury returned the indictments in U.S. District Court in Davenport. All nine are charged with exceeding authorized computer access. Starz orders 'Spartacus' prequel

Starz has figured out a work-around for its leading man's health problems on "Spartacus." The network will a six-part prequel to "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" next January with Andy Whitfield, who plays the title character, making a brief appearance. Production on the second season of "Spartacus" has been delayed due to Whitfield battling cancer. The move will ressurect John Hannah as Batiatus, owner of the Ludus, and Lucy Lawless as his wife Lucretia. Besides other returning characters, new ones will be added. "The prequel story maintains the excitement and entertainment value of the first season of 'Spartacus,' giving audiences the engaging experience they've come to expect," said Starz CEO Chris Albrecht. "Fortunately, Andy is responding to his treatments, and will be able to be part of this prequel in a limited capacity. As soon as he's able, we look forward to continuing the Spartacus story." ...
