Colorado Springs Police Officer offered $100 bribe responds to offer by cuffing suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A Colorado Springs Police Officer trying to arrest a shoplifter said the man offered him $100 to let him go. It didn't work.
Police said Officer Jeff True was working extra duty at Walmart on Monday morning when he took a suspected shoplifter into custody.
"As he was searching the party, he located what appeared to be a small baggie of crystal methamphetamine," police said.
True said that's when the suspect offered him $100 to let him go.
Instead, True said he pulled out his handcuffs.
True said the suspect started fighting him. While they were struggling, True said a loaded Glock dropped from the man's waist.
A Walmart employee picked up the gun and True said he managed to cuff the suspect.
Colorado Springs Police said Anthony Barreras, 20, was arrested and charged for possession of schedule II drug, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, bribery, attempt to influence a public official and theft.
