Debbie Rowe confessed he was not their father.

MICHAEL Jackson's two eldest kids face a tug-of-love battle after their mum Debbie Rowe confessed he was not their father. In an astonishing interview Debbie - mother of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11 - said she was artificially inseminated by an anonymous donor. And she told how, despite Jackson's death, she does not WANT custody of the children and NEVER expects to see them again. It means Prince and Paris now face a doubtful future, effectively without parents and the subject of a fight to find them a permanent and stable family home. Click here for all Michael Jackson death and tribute stories More uncertainty surrounds what will happen to Jackson's third child Prince II, known as Blanket, the identity of whose mother has never been made public. The world was amazed 13 years ago when Jacko announced he was expecting his first child with Debbie, a receptionist at a Beverly Hills dermatology clinic where he regularly went for skin treatments. Black-owned media tell GOP that money talks -- OrlandoSentinel.com :#tcot and #fltcot "Black-owned media tell GOP that money talks" By Mark Schlueb Sentinel Staff Writer 8:59 AM EDT, June 27, 2009 Florida Republican leaders are trying to capture ground they've historically ceded to the Democratic Party — the black news media. Friday, managers of black-owned newspapers and radio outlets told Florida GOP Chairman Jim Greer there's a simple way to get more attention for conservative issues and candidates: money. "At the end of the day, it's about money. If you buy advertising, you're more likely to get coverage," said Johnny Hunter, president of the Florida Association of Black Owned Media and publisher of Sarasota's Tempo News . Greer invited black-media news executives from across the state to a downtown Orlando hotel to hash out

Conyers says little about wife's legal troubles - The Denver Post :#tcot and #fltcot "Conyers says little about wife's legal troubles" DETROIT —On the day City Councilwoman Monica Conyers stepped into a federal courtroom at home in Detroit to plead guilty to bribery, her husband was at home in Washington . Several of Rep. John Conyers ' colleagues in the U.S. House said they weren't aware his wife could soon wind up spending five years in prison. Rather than take the easy shot, the top Republican on the House ethics committee declined to comment. Rep. Jerrold Nadler , a New York Democrat and a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, said "it shouldn't have any impact at all" on John Conyers ' work in the House. A few thousand dollars in bribes—including one accepted outside a Detroit fast-food restaurant named Mr. Fish—have all but ended the short political career of Monica Conyers. They haven't made so much as a dent in

Pastor Welcomes Gun Owners to Bring Their Handguns to Church - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com :#tcot and #fltcot "Pastor Welcomes Gun Owners to Bring Their Handguns to Church" LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville pastor is welcoming gun owners into his church's sanctuary Saturday for what he says is a show of support for the right to bear arms. Ken Pagano is asking visitors to bring their unloaded handguns in a holster at a late afternoon event at New Bethel Church in southwest Louisville. Pagano says he got the idea after some members at the Pentecostal church expressed concern over the Obama administration's views on gun control. He says the gathering is meant to promote safe gun ownership. The "Open Carry Celebration" will include a handgun raffle. It has prompted a coalition of peace and church groups to stage a peaceful, gun-free event across town at the same time on Saturday.

Florida Mayor Arrested After Found Nude at Campsite - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com :#tcot and #fltcot "Florida Mayor Arrested After Found Nude at Campsite" CLAYTON, Ga. — Naked time got a little out of hand for a former Gainesville mayor. Authorities arrested Mark Musselwhite and charged him with public indecency last weekend after state Department of Natural Resources officers found him sitting nude at his Rabun County campsite. Officers had received a complaint about a naked man walking along a nearby road earlier in the day, but the 43-year-old Musselwhite said he was not the same man. Musselwhite, a Republican, was elected to the Gainesville City Council in 2000, where he served for six years, including a stint as mayor. He lost a bid for a state Senate seat in 2006. He could not be reached for comment by The Associated Press on Saturday.

Too much Michael Jackson? - Los Angeles Times

Too much Michael Jackson? - Los Angeles Times : #tcot and #fltcot "Too much Michael Jackson?" That accounts for the fervor that has the performer's fans organizing candlelight vigils around his star on Hollywood Boulevard and mass "moonwalks" in London. But what explains the saturation media coverage of Jackson's death -- coverage that crowded out virtually every other news story since midday Thursday? Friday, for example, was an extraordinarily busy news day: Repression tightened dangerously in Iran, and President Obama traded words with his Iranian counterpart; the brewing crisis with North Korea bubbled along; the House passed major legislation on climate change; and, in California, the budget crisis took another suicidal turn. When Jackson's death was first reported, traffic across the Internet spiked to virtually unprecedented levels. Google's search engine slowed to a crawl; Yahoo reported "one of the biggest things" in its history;

Ex-wife Debbie Rowe expected to get custody of Jackson kids - Los Angeles Times

Ex-wife Debbie Rowe expected to get custody of Jackson kids - Los Angeles Times : "Ex-wife Debbie Rowe expected to get custody of Jackson kids" Michael Jackson's ex-wife and the mother of his two older children is in line to obtain custody of them, even if the pop star designated another person as their guardian after his death, legal experts said Friday. California law permits a parent to give up custodial but not parental rights in the kind of contract Rowe signed, Blumberg said. The appeals court ruling means that Rowe is the legal mother of the older children, she said, "And if one parent is dead, the other parent is entitled to custody of the child."

Employer online monitoring meets resistance - Washington Times

Employer online monitoring meets resistance - Washington Times : "Employer online monitoring meets resistance" A gap is growing between workers and employers over social networking and other Internet behavior. On the one hand, a series of notorious videos, including one involving a pizza joint and bodily functions, is prompting more concern among employers that workers' behavior online can harm their businesses. But the reaction that forced a Montana city to back off its request for the log-in information of potential employees indicates there is still some information people feel entitled to guard. Deloitte LLP's 2009 Ethics & Workplace Survey, released in May, found a big gap between employers and employees on whether businesses should be able to monitor Internet behavior off the clock. Sixty percent of the business executives surveyed said they had a right to know how their organizations were portrayed by employees in online social networks, as opposed to 53

U.S. reverses Afghan drug policy - Yahoo! News

U.S. reverses Afghan drug policy - Yahoo! News TRIESTE, Italy (Reuters) – Washington is to dramatically overhaul its Afghan anti-drug strategy, phasing out opium poppy eradication, the U.S. envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan told allies on Saturday. "The Western policies against the opium crop, the poppy crop, have been a failure. They did not result in any damage to the Taliban , but they put farmers out of work," Holbrooke told Reuters after a series of bilateral meetings in Italy. "We are not going to support crop eradication. We're going to phase it out," he said. The emphasis would instead be on intercepting drugs and chemicals used to make them, and going after drug lords .

Letter: Questions for Obama backers, the press - Chico Enterprise Record

Letter: Questions for Obama backers, the press - Chico Enterprise Record : "Questions for Obama backers" I pose the following questions to the press and to Obama supporters. If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who can't seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved? If Bush had proposed doubling the national debt (which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate) in one year, and then proposed doubling the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved? If Bush had promised detailed tracking of the spending from a $785 billion Stimulus Bill, then postponed that oversight until 2010, would you approve or would you think something "smelled fishy"? If Bush had promised 48-hour advance posting of the same bill on the Internet and only released it two hours before congressional approval, would you wonder what was being hidden from the public? If Bush and a Republican Congress had given hundreds o
