American Thinker Blog: Obama Should Release His Transcripts

American Thinker Blog: Obama Should Release His Transcripts : "“Similarly, his admission to Harvard Law School is highly questionable. Where are his LSAT scores? And how does one graduate from Columbia without honors and yet get accepted at Harvard Law? Lastly, his ascendency to the Presidency of the Harvard Law school would appear to have also been a case of blatant affirmative action, since the student Obama had only written one legal paper — and that was quite short and remarkably undistinguished. So where are his grade transcripts?”"

Now GOP Starts Comparing AZ Law to Nazi Germany

Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.) ripped into the new Arizona immigration law today, comparing it to Nazi Germany.   "This law of 'frontier justice' – where law enforcement officials are required to stop anyone based on 'reasonable suspicion' that they may be in the country illegally – is reminiscent of a time during World War II when the Gestapo in Germany stopped people on the street and asked for their papers without probable cause," Mack said in a statement.   "This is not the America I grew up in and believe in, and it’s not the America I want my children to grow up in," he added.   The Arizona law would allow law enforcement officers who come into legal contact with individuals to demand proof of citizenship if there is a "reasonable suspicion" that person may be undocumented. http://bit.ly/b0JIZ6

Schwarzenegger backs health overhaul

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pledged California's full support Thursday for national health care reform, throwing the weight of one of the nation's most prominent Republicans behind the overhaul. Mr. Schwarzenegger said he long has supported the concept of universal health coverage, and in 2007 he proposed a $14.7 billion overhaul of the health care market in California. That effort failed in part because of concerns about cost, but the governor credits the effort with helping lay the groundwork for the federal bill signed this year. Mr. Schwarzenegger said it's time to set politics aside and start implementing ... Email http://bit.ly/agpDmu

Cornyn: Crist shows D.C. can't pick winners

Sen. John Cornyn, the Senate Republicans' campaign chairman who recruited Florida Gov. Charlie Crist into that state's Senate race, said Thursday Mr. Crist's fall shows the danger of Washington politicians trying to pick winners and losers in the midst of anti-Washington sentiment. "In this political environment, it's not necessarily helpful for candidates running in states to have the national party chairmen endorse them," Mr. Cornyn, Texas Republican, told reporters at a breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor. 3 Border Patrol Agents Assaulted Per Day Near Border

Three Border Patrol agents are assaulted on the average day at or near the U.S. border. Someone is kidnapped every 35 hours in Phoenix, Ariz., often by agents of alien smuggling organizations. And one-in-five American teenagers last year used some type of illegal drug, many of which were imported across the unsecured U.S.-Mexico border.   These facts are reported in the recently released National Drug Threat Assessment for 2010, published by the National Drug Intelligence Center, a division of the U.S. Justice Department. They ought to add some perspective to the national debate raging over Arizona’s new law that requires local law enforcement officers to make a “reasonable attempt” to determine the immigration status of persons they legally come into contact with and whom they reasonably suspect of being in the country illegally.   Assaults on Border Patrol agents have massively escalated in recent years, according to the Justice Department threat assessment, which was released on Mar

CNN Co-Founder: Network at Risk of Becoming a Bad Joke

Just how bad have things gotten at the low rated CNN? So bad that the CNN co-founder, Reese Schonfeld has written in his Huffington Post blog that it is at risk of becoming a bad joke:   I think CNN is at risk of becoming a bad joke. Late night comics and cartoonists are already using them as a gag line. Newspapers are asking "experts" how to save them. It's time for a major change, before moving from "joke" to "tired joke". Writing this is getting tired, too. It's making me feel cruel, and, even if April is the cruelest month, I'd rather be writing about something else.   Ouch! Schonfeld then relays the sad CNN ratings stats:   The April ratings are in and CNN is at its lowest point in my memory. All four of the major news networks lost numbers from last April to this April, but in percentages, CNN was down about twice as much as any of its competitors. In primetime, FoxNews lost 19 percent of its viewers, and CNN lost 38 percent. In the key 2

News Bureau | University of Illinois

News Bureau | University of Illinois : "Maya in the Classic period (A.D. 250-900) regularly “terminated” their homes, razing the walls, burning the floors and placing artifacts and (sometimes) human remains on top before burning them again. Evidence suggests these rituals occurred every 40 or 50 years and likely marked important dates in the Maya calendar. After termination, the family built a new home on the old foundation, using broken and whole vessels, colorful fragments, animal bones and rocks to mark important areas and to provide ballast for a new plaster floor."

'Noah's Ark' found atop Mount Ararat in Turkey, evangelical group claims : "Noah shepherded them through the flood, two by two, and ended up in Turkey. That's what a group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers is claiming, after having found what it says are pieces of the religious icon's famed boat on Mount Ararat. 'It's not 100% that it is Noah's Ark, but we think it is 99.9% that this is it,' Yeung Wing-cheung, a Hong Kong documentary filmmaker, told AFP. Wing-Cheung, a member of the 15-member team from Noah's Ark Ministries International, said the structure in which they got the wood had several compartments that were possibly used to store animals. According to the Bible, Noah was tasked by God to build a giant ark after deciding to flood the world because humanity had become too corrupt. Jesse Jackson: AZ Law Is 'Terrorism for the Innocent'

You can add this to the list of very bad things the new Arizona Immigration Law is being compared to: Terrorism.   Jesse Jackon appeared on MSNBC today and told Contessa Brewer that the new law, allowing police to require proof of citizenship from anyone they “suspect” of being an illegal immigrant, is the equivalent of ‘terrorism for the innocent…you look suspicious because you are Mexican.” Jackson also seemed to suggest that even Gov. Bill Richardson was at risk of being pulled over under this law because of his appearance. Read more ... http://bit.ly/caPfBl
