"Dictum vel factum vel concupitum contra legem æternam"

Meaning "something said, done or desired contrary to the eternal law"

What I have to say about the recent but not surprising announcement from president Obama.  He states that he supports "gay marriage".  When the president states a position on a matter not only does the American public listen but the world listens.  When the president states that he approves of a behavior and condones it he is stating that the U.S.A. should.
How can the U.S.A. support an appeal that is a historic sin?
Where has our society?  Do we approve and condone sin?
In the Old Testament sin is set forth as an act of disobedience (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:11; Isaiah 1:2-4; Jeremiah 2:32); as an insult to God (Numbers 27:14); as something detested and punished by God (Genesis 3:14-19; Genesis 4:9-16).
There is no question that homosexuality is a sin.  We all know it.  Therefore, our society and our president chooses to ignore God and sin.
"De bono conjugii" and "De nuptiis et concupiscentia".  Meaning "Among all people and all men the good that is secured by marriage consists in the offspring and in the chastity of married fidelity".
Dei Verbum 10, put it this way: "It is clear, therefore, that in the supremely wise arrangement of God, sacred Tradition, sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium of the Church are so connected and associated that one of them cannot stand without the others. Working together, each in its own way under the action of the one Holy Spirit, they all contribute effectively to the salvation of souls".
The phenomenon of homosexuality is and has always been a sin.

In closing this is an open and shut case.  The idea of condoning sin is a sin itself.
There is no reasoning of intellect to consider expanding the tradition of marriage unless the purpose is to void all marriages before and to proclaim sin as a major function of our society.
