U. S. officials say an American citizen on the flight claimed to have a fake passport and explosives in his luggage. According to Delta spokeswoman Susan Elliott there were 235 passengers and eight crew aboard the Airbus 330. Aftet the plane landed safely at 3:37 p.m.,  the passengers deplaned onto the tarmac at BIA and boarded buses to BIA's international arrivals building.
