Trial starting for Dallas man accused of murder for shooting deaths of couple over dog waste

DALLAS (AP) — Jury selection is set to get under way for a 76-year-old Dallas man charged with murder for the shooting deaths of his neighbors in a dispute over dog waste.
Chung Kim is accused of fatally shooting Michelle Jackson as she stood on her apartment balcony in December 2012. Authorities say Kim then went upstairs to her apartment and shot and killed her boyfriend, Jamie Stafford.
Kim has said the couple's dog would use the balcony as a bathroom and when the neighbors would wash it, the urine and feces would stream down to his balcony.
He's insisted the shooting of Stafford was in self-defense. He's also said he doesn't remember shooting Jackson but he could have suffered a blackout.
