Townhouse Set on Fire By Man Trying to Melt Frozen Faucets With Blowtorch

The freezing powers of the Polar Vortex 2014 have made us all do things we will likely later look back on and regret. Especially in Texas, where anything below 70 degrees makes us a little crazy. Include the poor maintenance worker who set a North Austin townhome on fire yesterday while using a blowtorch to melt frozen faucets. While no one was injured in the fire at Edgecliff Condos on Wood Hollow Drive near Far West Boulevard and Greystone Drive, five people were displaced from their homes one of the coldest days in Austin in years.
