Occupy West Palm Beach Kicked Out - West Palm Beach News Story - WPBF West Palm Beach: " The dozen remaining Occupy Wall Street demonstrators in West Palm Beach are looking for a new location to "occupy" after being told they were trespassing at the former City Hall.
Police ordered the activists on Friday to "immediately and peacefully" leave the city-owned property.
The activists were told they were trespassing and must leave the site after violating rules such as outdoor cooking. In a letter written Friday by City Administrator Ed Mitchell to the activists says the violations "are a threat to public health, safety and welfare."
Organizer Brien Huley said they plan to occupy another location when they leave the West Palm Beach location."

TSA asks woman to prove her breast pump is real at Lihue Airport

Reactions:

A Hawaiian mom says she was humiliated when asked to prove her breast pump was real at an airport. The woman says she was flagged for additional screening at the Lihue Airport Wednesday because of her electric breast feeding pump. She claims agents told her she couldn't take the pump on the plane because the bottles in her carry-on were empty. "I asked him if there was a private place I could pump and he said no, you can go in the women's bathroom. I had to stand in front of the mirrors and the sinks and pump my breast in front of every tourist that walked into that bathroom. I was embarrassed and humiliated and then angry that I was treated this way. When the bottles were full, she was allowed back on the plane.

Saturn's Icy Moon Dione Has Oxygen Atmosphere | Saturn Pictures | Space.com: "Dione's atmosphere was detected by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which spotted an ultra-thin layer of oxygen ions so sparse that it is equivalent to conditions 300 miles (480 kilometers) above Earth. On Dione, there is one oxygen ion for every 2,550 cubic feet (90,000 cubic meters), but it's still enough to qualify as an atmosphere, Cassini mission scientists announced Friday (March 2).

"We now know that Dione, in addition to Saturn's rings and the moon Rhea, is a source of oxygen molecules," Cassini team member Robert Tokar of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, who led the new study, said in a statement. "This shows that molecular oxygen is actually common in the Saturn system and reinforces that it can come from a process that doesn't involve life.""

News from The Associated Press: "On Friday it called for bids for the exploitation of one of its former Olympic Games venues, the International Broadcasting Center.

Built to accommodate broadcasting facilities for the 2004 Games, the IBC has since been converted into a shopping mall. It includes a vacant area of 14,300 square meters (153,925 square feet) and an underground parking area of 7,300 square meters (78,577 square feet).

The country's Asset Development Fund issued a tender for the rights of exclusive use, management and exploitation of the facility for 90 years. The offer includes the area currently leased as a shopping mall under a 40-year agreement that expires in 2047, the fund said.

Earlier this week, Greece launched a privatization offer for its Public Gas Corporation, DEPA.

Greece hopes to raise euro11 billion by the end of 2012 from a privatization drive started last year, and euro20 billion ($26.9 billion) by the end of 2013. The original target had been to raise euro50 billion by 2015."

I Have a Say: Sandra Fluke

Reactions:

Obama rings up Limbaugh’s ‘slut,’ Georgetown’s Sandra Fluke

Reactions:
In a show of moral support, President Barack Obama called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke on Friday defending her in the face of conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh's "reprehensible ... personal and crude" attacks on her, the White House said. The conversation, which lasted for "several minutes," came after Limbaugh branded Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" for her support of women having access to birth control, Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, said. The president made the call right before Fluke was scheduled to appear on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports. Obama "wanted to offer his support to her," said Carney. "He wanted to express his disappointment that she has been the subject of inappropriate personal attacks, and to thank her for exercising her rights as a citizen to speak out on an issue of public policy." Fluke appeared on the "Today" show Friday morning to talk about the incident. "I think my reaction was the reaction a lot of women have had historically when they've been called these types of names: Initially to be stunned by it, and then to quickly feel outraged and very upset," she said. "[It's] an attempt to silence me, to silence all of us from speaking about the health care we need." Despite the fire around his comments, Limbaugh continued his verbal assault on Fluke on his radio show Friday, even as some conservatives spoke out against his controversial comments about contraception. "A woman comes out of nowhere," Limbaugh said on Friday. "She's having so much sex she can't pay for it." He didn't stop there. "So the woman comes forth with this, frankly, hilarious claim that she's having so much sex, and her buddies with her, that she can't afford it," says Limbaugh. "And not one person says, 'Well, did you ever think about maybe backing off the amount of sex that you have? Do you ever think maybe it's your responsibility for your own birth control, not everybody else's?'" Limbaugh also argued that Democrats made birth control an issue because Obama is polling badly with women. "This isn't about birth control. This isn't about contraception," Limbaugh said. "This is about expanding the reach of the government in to your womb. ... Whatever happened to 'Hands off our bodies'?" The talk radio host assured listeners that he doesn't hate women and asked his critics to lighten up. At the hearing where Fluke originally spoke about the issue, she argued women should have free access to contraceptives, complaining that Georgetown, a Catholic university, won't cover it for her. "Contraception can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school," she said. "For a lot of students like me who are on public interest scholarships, that's practically an entire summer's salary." After her comments, Limbaugh lashed out on Wednesday, when the whole controversy began. "What does it say about the college co-ed Fluke, who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says she must be paid to have sex?" Limbaugh said. "What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception." Limbaugh later suggested that in exchange for contraceptives paid for by taxpayers, Fluke should produce a sex tape. "If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it," Limbaugh said. "We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch." House Democrats immediately called on House speaker John Boehner to denounce Limbaugh's comments, and his office did so on Friday. "The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation," Boehner spokesman Michael Steel told CNN.

Last weekend, Breitbart told friends he was in early talks with CNN about a Crossfire-style show in which he would argue from the Right alongside former US House representative Anthony Weiner taking him on from the Left.

Such a show could have been a blockbuster. In what was perhaps his finest hour, Breitbart was the man who ended the political career of Weiner by revealing that the married congressman he had sent lewd photographs sent to young women via Twitter."

22 Carnival Cruise Ship Passengers Robbed At Gunpoint In Mexico | Fox News: "PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO –  Hooded bandits robbed 22 Carnival Splendor cruise ship passengers at gunpoint as they traveled on a bus near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, several days into a cruise that left from Long Beach, Calif., the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday.

The tourists, who departed California on Feb. 19 and returned Sunday, were traveling on a bus after going on a nature hike Friday when the bandits struck near the Mexican port city, according to local media reports.

The gunmen stole the passengers' valuables -- including cameras and money -- before fleeing. No one was reported to have been hurt during the robbery.

"Carnival sincerely apologizes to its guests for this very unfortunate and disturbing event and is providing its full support and assistance," the Miami-based company said in a statement.

"Carnival is working with guests to reimburse them for lost valuables and assist with lost passports or other forms of identification."

The company has suspended the nature trail tour from its list of activities for cruise passengers."

Ron Paul: Santorum is "desperate"

Reactions:
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - Ron Paul on Saturday laughed off remarks made by fellow GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum earlier in the day speculating that Paul and Mitt Romney have a backroom running mate deal going. "I don't know what all that meant," Paul chuckled backstage of a rally he held here at Central Michigan University. "No, we've never had a conversation, anything like that ... but he's a family person, I've known him for five years, so it is a little bit different. But I don't agree with [him on] hardly anything, probably." Santorum has openly speculated that Paul and Romney are working together. He vented his frustration at multiple events on Saturday that "in 20 debates, Ron Paul never attacked Mitt Romney." During last week's debate in Arizona, Santorum said, "I felt like messages were being slipped behind my chair." Paul admitted to reporters that he's never "volunteered" an attack on Romney during a debate, but said he "answered the questions when they asked me." He said Santorum's sudden gripe about the issue shows that he's "desperate." As for the Texas Congressman's attack ads, which have been harsh on Santorum but absent on Romney, particularly in Michigan, Paul said that "right now the anti-Romney candidate is Santorum, so I have to get his votes, as I did at one time with Gingrich." Though Saturday marked Paul's first day campaigning in Michigan, more than 2,000 students and other supporters greeted him with signs and chants at what was billed as a "Soldier, Airmen, and Sailors for Ron Paul" rally. Paul has been polling third in the state, behind Santorum and Romney. Asked about his expectations, Paul said his campaign isn't shooting for a specific percentage threshold, but bragged that he holds the second-highest number of "firm delegates" so far of any of the candidates. "I feel good, but I'm realistic," he said. "And this is our first trip up where, so we expect to do well but I don't have any precise predictions. But we have a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of supporters, and I'm encouraged when I come to a meeting like we had here tonight.
